With 1 day to go before our 6th birthday celebrations we thought it would be a good time to look back over the last 6 years. Since 28th September 2013 we have had 7,336 people take part in our parkrun, running 53,761 times and covering a distance of 268,805km, that's 167,027 miles. Not surprising the grass is a bit bare in patches!!
We've added some photos from over the years, how many of you remember the trees being planted on the course, the really bad water-logging in 2014, the 2 'Grand Days Out' we've organised to London, the moment we won the Doncaster CVS Community Group of the Year award in 2016 and raising the money so Sandall Park has a Defibrillator available 365 days a year.
We have a superb parkrun and as a community we should be extremely proud of what we have achieved, well done!
And so to tomorrow, don't forget your cakes and goodies, wear your parkrun milestone or apricot t-shirts with pride and most of all join us bright and early for a well deserved celebration!
